"The State Customs Committee is exploring the possibility of remotely registering vehicles in electronic queues at borders," said Vladimir Orlovsky, Chairman of the State Customs Committee, following a report to the head of state, BelTA reports.
"We are considering the possibility of creating an even more advanced system—remote registration without visiting a designated area. We are currently discussing this possibility with interested government agencies. I hope that we will build such a system," Orlovsky said.
Vladimir Orlovsky said that construction of two large areas is currently being completed. The first is for trucks in front of the Kozlovichi checkpoint. The area has approximately 800 parking spaces and is scheduled for completion in January 2026.
In addition, a designated area in front of the Varshavsky Most checkpoint is scheduled for completion in December 2025. "This is the busiest area, where the queues have reached 8-10 days over the past two months. We're also building a platform there and creating comfortable conditions," added Vladimir Orlovsky.
