The meeting of the Russian-Belarusian Joint Commission on International Road Transport in Minsk discussed key issues of the development of transport links between the two countries, informs the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
Main results:
• The provisions of the Agreement on the phased abolition of the licensing system, coastal transportation and electronic document management were discussed.
• It was decided to create a unified register of debts and the procedure for payment of fines for Belarusian carriers. A mechanism for the inevitability of punishment for offenses in the field of transport on the territory of the Union State will be developed.
• The use of Russian tanker trucks for transportation of products from Belarusian refineries is considered.
• It is planned to synchronize approaches to the transportation of dangerous goods and register Belarusian residents in Russian information databases.
The agreements reached are fixed in the Minutes of the meeting aimed at improving the bilateral dialogue in the field of automobile and urban passenger transport.
