The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved new rules for paying for toll roads. The main goal of the changes is to make the system more flexible and avoid unnecessary fines for drivers.
Previously, only seven days were allowed to pay. On the eighth day, the outstanding amount was reported to transport control authorities for issuance of a fine.
Now, legal entities are required to make payments by the 20th of the month following the reporting month. In case of late payment, the materials will be submitted to the control authorities the following day.
For individuals, the payment deadline has been extended to 30 calendar days. Administrative proceedings will only be initiated on the 31st day.
The proposed changes will allow drivers more time to pay for toll roads of national significance. The order will come into effect 10 calendar days after its first official publication.
