Starting October 15, 2025, only vehicles registered in the electronic queue reservation system will be able to cross the external land border of the Republic of Latvia, BAMAP reports.
The requirement to register in the electronic queue will not apply to EU passport holders. However, bus drivers providing regular international passenger services will be required to register, but will be exempt from paying the service fee.
A place in the queue must be reserved for border crossings at the Grebnevo-Ubylinka and Terekhovo-Burachki border crossing points on the Russian side and at the Paternieki-Grigorovshchina border crossing point on the Belarusian side.
Advance registration in the system will be possible starting October 1, 2025.
Registration will be completed on the websites www.lvborder.lv and www.lvrobeza.lv When registering for the online queue, you will need to provide information about your vehicle, driver, and cargo.
Registration in advance—up to 30 days before your planned border crossing—will allow you to choose the most convenient time slot.
A sequence number within the time slot selected for border crossing (1 hour) will be assigned after payment confirmation is received in the system. Vehicle registration fee: EUR 9.30.
If you have not registered your vehicle in advance, you can do so immediately before crossing the border. The system will then predict the nearest possible waiting time in the queue.
