On October 13, 2025, Deputy President of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, together with Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev, held the 13th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation between Russia and Turkmenistan, according to the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
A signing ceremony for bilateral documents took place: the Federal Customs Service of Russia concluded an agreement with the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan on a simplified procedure for organizing customs operations for the transportation of goods and vehicles—the "Simplified Customs Corridor."
The launch of this project is aimed at creating conditions for increasing trade turnover between the two countries and ensuring special simplifications at the customs declaration and release stages.
A bilateral meeting of deputy heads of customs services was held on the sidelines of the intergovernmental commission, where preparations were made for the signing of the draft AEO agreement and the protocol on the exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles.
These documents not only help minimize the risks of customs violations and improve the efficiency of customs control, but also reduce the financial and time costs for businesses during customs operations.
